SPARK (Suicide Prevention Awareness Reflection Knowledge) will have live presentations by authors who have written about their anxiety and depression in the virtual event. For sure, we hope to have an in-person event in 2022!
SASF & Kaiser Educational Theatre bring you 'Ghosted' a film about anxiety and depression
Life can be full of stress, inducing anxiety and depression. The Sacramento Asian Sports Foundation (SASF) and Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre invite you to join us in watching "Ghosted" -- a film that circles the lives of four young adults who meet and try to support one another as each goes through their own personal stresses. These same four people will host a live panel and workshop following the film. We will also hear from a panel of teens who will discuss coping strategies to address anxiety, stress, and depression. A speaker from the Sacramento Unified School District will frame the mental health issues currently faced by teens. Join us for an invaluable learning experience as we strive to bring awareness and help young people navigate through challenging mental health experiences.

Virtual, free event. Terrific Raffle prizes!
A new program is also being developed for teen males. The focus is the social, emotional and mental health challenges confronting males. This will be patterned after the successful Strive for Strength Program for young ladies. While each group will be independent, a joint event by the two programs is envisioned where the teens can learn of their respective challenges – sharing perspectives and learning how to be allies.
